It appears that Michelle Malkin will edge out the security guard and the L.A. Lakers and take the Joker of the Week crown for last week. But who pray tell will dethrone nutty Malkin to take the crown this week? I don't know....So many contenders, so little time.

Ralph Nader - For saying of Barack Obama recently, "There's only one thing different about Barack Obama when it comes to being a Democratic presidential candidate. He's half African-American. Whether that will make any difference, I don't know. I haven't heard him have a strong crackdown on economic exploitation in the ghettos. Payday loans, predatory lending, asbestos, lead. What's keeping him from doing that? Is it because he wants to talk white? He doesn't want to appear like Jesse Jackson? We'll see all that play out in the next few months and if he gets elected afterwards." He went on to say, "I mean, first of all, the number one thing that a black American politician aspiring to the presidency should be is to candidly describe the plight of the poor, especially in the inner cities and the rural areas, and have a very detailed platform about how the poor is going to be defended by the law, is going to be protected by the law, and is going to be liberated by the law. Haven't heard a thing." Wow. Nader's comments are so unbelievably patronizing, insulting and based on such generalizations that I don't know where to begin. Obama is talking white because he's articulate? Because he's running a national campaign and has to appeal to all voters? All black people are poor? All black politicians have an obligation to speak exactly the same? Nader is irrelevant and ridiculous at this point.
Maria Sharapova - For losing in the second round of Wimbeldon to a player ranked 154th in the world and then for being insulted by the player after she lost. After beating Sharapova, Alla Kudryavtseva said, "I don't like her outfit. It's a little too much of everything. ... It was one of the motivations to beat her." HAAAA!
Keyshia Cole, Her Mama and Her Sister - For Coles' craptastic BET Awards performance, her mother's general demeanor, and her sister's ill-fitting dress.

Now, the basketball jab was funny, but I hardly think Kobe is the reason Shaq is getting divorced. Try fidelity Shaq.

But this is a hard one but I'm going to have to go with the Cole Trio of fools. I have to admit, Moms looked better than both of her daughters but Neffie should have known better. When your ta-tas are that big, you should be trying to keep them in, not let them out to play.

i am going with kee-kee the drowning cat & co. as well. i don't understand why her mom and sister still look like they don't have access to a REFINED stylist and team. they always look nasty/cheap/gutter-butt/drunk/tacky-BLEH! and her mom needs to stop trying to be keisha 2.0 and sit somewhere and act/look like someone's momma.
i get that nader really wasn't speaking about obama's dialect as much as his appeal tactics. i understand what he meant, it just came out sooooo utterly dumb. is there really a way to say that obama can't go on a "jesse or sharpton rant pumping fists wearing a 'black is beautiful' shirt alienating the rest of america without sounding odd? well, not any way appropriately or p.c.
that is what set jesse apart, he was ultra pro-black and he couldn't get off of square one due to it.
anyhoo, kanye's a child and imus is no shock. if i'm gonna be mad, it'd be because he was ever allowed back. we know how he is...i expect nothing different. so his reappearance was more of a slap...and you know what else...i'm getting tired of some of the things black folks do then want to get mad when someone comments about it. while the comment might be unneccessary or silly, if you weren't acting the fool all the daggone time, what could they say?

On Nader--I understand what he was trying to say, I just don't agree with it. And I think you're right--he did not articulate and clarify his statements well. I mean he's saying Obama talks "white" because he's talking about a lot of different issues. Obama can't just champion black issues--he's got to speak to everyone if he's going to be the president of the u.s.
Shaq is funny, but his resulting negative press and badge removal are what got him a nod.
I agree--some black people need to get it together.
